Job Title: Credit Review Associate\nLocation: London\nContract: (6 months)\n\nAbout Us:\nOur client, a leading player in the financial services industry, is seeking a skilled Credit Review Associate to join their dynamic team in London. This role is pivotal in supporting the bank's growing corporate loan portfolio by ensuring sound credit decisions that align with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nanalyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to assess the financial health and creditworthiness of corporate clients.\nConduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, considering industry analysis, market conditions, and specific company risks.\nAssign obligor gradings based on the bank's rating framework and submit for review and approval.\nRegularly update obligor gradings in response to changes in client financial performance or market conditions.\nDevelop financial projections and perform stress testing to evaluate the impact of adverse conditions on creditworthiness.\nCollaborate with relationship managers to structure credit facilities that meet client needs and adhere to the bank's risk appetite.\nPrepare comprehensive credit applications, including recommendations on credit limits and terms.\nEnsure timely and accurate maintenance of all credit-related documentation, adhering to internal policies and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain detailed records for audit purposes and communicate changes in obligor gradings to relevant stakeholders.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance credit analysis and approval workflows.\nParticipate in ad hoc project tasks as needed. \n\nQualifications & Skills:\n\nBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.\nPrevious experience as a credit analyst or financial analyst, preferably in corporate banking or financial services.\nStrong product knowledge in syndicated and bi-lateral loans, guarantees, derivatives, trade finance, and leasing.\nFamiliarity with legal documentation, including loan and bond agreements, ISDAs, and credit mitigating features.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial projections.\nExceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on producing accurate credit applications and documentation.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial concepts clearly.\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.\nA self-starter who is proactive in managing credit tasks and improving processes.\nFluency in English is required; Japanese language skills are preferable but not mandatory.
