Our client is seeking a Temporary Management Accountant to cover essential tasks within the busy finance department .
The role can be remote or hybrid to suit the candidate.
Key skills
* Prepare management accounts, statistical analysis, and reporting.
* Reconcile control accounts, and process monthly journals (including accruals and prepayments).
* Prepare VAT and submit HMRC reports.
* Generate financial reports for budget monitoring.
* Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Assist in audit preparation and execution.
* Manage the fixed asset register.
* Support the finance team with daily banking, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control.
Ideally you will have:
* Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, or equivalent).
* Good knowledge of MS Office/O365
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
This is an urgent requirement, and the client is ideally looking for a person to be in place by the first week of May 2024.
