We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, and recordkeeping.
* Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and perform necessary repairs.
* Test HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
* Ensure statutory compliance with F-Gas regulations.
* Install air conditioning systems as required.
* Produce detailed technical quotations, including parts and labour costs, to ensure profitability, cost control, and client satisfaction.
* Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
* Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
* Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
* Escalate issues promptly to Supervisors/Contract Managers.
* Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota and attend emergency repairs as needed.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve client objectives.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient operation without disruption.
Skills and Experience
* Experience working with various air conditioning equipment, including VRVs, VRFs, and split systems.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proven expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
* Extensive fault-finding experience, capable of working on traditional and modern plant equipment.
* Ability to work safely and diligently.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning.
* FGAS Category 1 certification.
* Electrical qualifications (beneficial).
* IPAF/PASMA certification (beneficial).
* Valid UK driving license.
* Subject to contract-specific vetting, including financial and employment background checks.
* Manufacturer training or knowledge (beneficial).
