TeacherActive are proud to be working with a primary school in Gower. The Headteacher is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a Nursery class until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic coupled with a "can do" attitude and a passion for working with the Foundation Phase. The class teacher will delegate tasks to the Teaching Assistant which will involve leading small groups of children in an activity.

* Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months)
* Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools
* Will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher
* Responsible for working with an individual pupil and small groups
* Will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and a "can do" attitude
* Has the ability to encourage every child to learn and achieve and has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference
* Can plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period
