Vanta Staffing High Wycombe are looking for a Maintenance Operative/ Handyperson to work within a large office in Marlow. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to building maintenance. You will mainly be responsible for ensuring the building is maintained to the highest standards, delivering a safe, well-presented, and comfortable environment at all times.
You will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks including painting, general repairs, small plumbing and electrical works, and garden maintenance, building upkeep, ensuring buildings and grounds are well-maintained at all times.

GBP27,500 per annum
Monday to Friday 8.30am-6pm
Possible out of hours attendance in emergencies if required.
Main duties of the Maintenance Operative/ Handyperson:
· Carry out general maintenance duties across the site
· Ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, within budget and scheduled timelines
· Respond promptly to reported maintenance issues and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner
· Conduct regular inspections of communal areas, plant rooms, lighting, fire safety systems, and other critical building infrastructure
· To organise and undertake a pre-planned preventative maintenance schedule
· Manage on-site contractors where necessary and ensure all health & safety protocols are followed
· Maintain accurate records of works carried out and report any major issues requiring further escalation
· Carrying out weekly fire alarm testing and other checks as required
· Attendance to deal with out of hours emergencies on site as required
· Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all Health & Safety regulations
· Ensure the site remains compliant with all statutory requirements
Skills & Experience Required of the Maintenance Operative/ Handyperson:
· Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role
· Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance trades including plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and basic electrics
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
· Awareness of health and safety practices and procedures
· Basic IT literacy and good communication skills
· Good communication and organisational abilities
· Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
