As an Arborist Tree Surgeon, you will utilize your expertise in tree climbing, planting, and maintenance to support sustainable urban forestry practices.
Responsibilities
* Perform tree climbing and pruning to maintain tree health and safety.
* Conduct tree planting and preservation activities to enhance urban forestry.
* Execute tree and shrub care, including trimming, shaping, and removal when necessary.
* Assess tree health and recommend appropriate maintenance strategies.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with environmental health standards.
* Operate and maintain arborist equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
* Provide guidance and support to junior team members and apprentices.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Arborist 2nd Climber LBS-005 or similar role in trades and operatives.
* Proficiency in tree climbing and arboricultural techniques.
* Strong knowledge of tree maintenance, gardening, and preservation practices.
* Ability to assess tree health and implement effective care strategies.
* Familiarity with environmental health and trading standards.
* Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
