Our Client is a manufacturer of ventilation products that are installed in residential houses and commercial premises. With a full range of energy-efficient and award-winning extract fans and associated items, their products are installed throughout the UK.
They now need to identify an Engineering Team Leader with strong project management skills to join their established team. This is a hands-on role, leading & developing a small team to provide engineering design, manufacturing support and continuous improvement to a wide range of air movement products and innovative designs for future requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a multidisciplined team through R&D, design and production engineering
* Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, structure and accountability
* Lead engineering projects with clear strategic direction and effective resource planning
* Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
* Monitor team performance and support professional development
* Oversee recruitment, training, and succession planning for the engineering team
* Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping to testing, certification, and manufacturing handover
* Ensure products comply with ventilation, energy efficiency, and safety standards
* Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions
* Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, building regulations and standards, and environmental and sustainability directives
* Oversee product testing, validation, and certification
* Manage relationships with external suppliers, service providers, testing labs, and certification bodies
About you:
* Degree (or similar qualification) in Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
* 6+ years’ engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
* Understanding of relevant manufacturing standards and regulations
* Experience with CAD - SolidWorks
* Strong project management experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This role comes with a £50k salary, 10% annual bonus, 26 days holiday plus BH, Private Healthcare, Company Pension Scheme.
