Responsibilities
Be part of our success story and contribute to our bright future. Locala Community Partnerships is a Community Interest Company (CIC), an independent, not-for-profit social enterprise providing NHS services to over 400,000 people in and around Kirklees.
Our OPAT service, part of Locala’s Integrated Community Services, includes our Clinical Lead, Band 6 Clinical Coordinator, and a team of Band 5 Nurses working across Kirklees, supported by clinicians from acute trusts and community partners. We seek a motivated, caring nurse who can work independently and as part of a team. The team currently works a mix of 7.5-hour early and late shifts.
The service covers the Kirklees community with a 7-day operation from 8am to 9pm. Our goal is to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions by providing IV antibiotic and NMAB therapy to medically stable patients in their homes.
The post holder should possess excellent communication and clinical skills, including IV therapy, to deliver treatments, build relationships, and network with key stakeholders. As a digital enterprise, IT skills, including experience with SystmOne, are essential. Initiative and teamwork are vital for effective service delivery. Collaboration within the MDT and with acute trusts is crucial.
We support CPD through our robust appraisal system, in-service training, external courses, and clinical supervision. Locala promotes a positive work-life balance and mobile working, providing staff with mobile technology.
