Your new company Our corporate client is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for a period of 12 months to be part of the finance team. Your new role You will be responsible for preparing and processing accounting and payment transactions across the sub-ledger and payment systems. The role involves identifying, tracking and resolving ledger queries, proactively addressing and reconciling items and preparing daily, weekly and monthly journals for posting to the general ledger. Additional duties include the regular clearing of sub-ledger customer accounts, assisting with banking queries, ensuring aged items are resolved promptly, and supporting ad-hoc projects focused on process efficiency and continuous improvement. The role also supports cashier and treasury control checks, ensures month-end deadlines are met, and contributes to audit requirements by helping implement and maintain internal controls. Finally, the position requires effective coordination across departments to secure expected payment amounts and maintaining strong knowledge sharing to ensure business continuity during periods of absence. What you'll need to succeed You will be a strong all-round accounts assistant with good accounts payable experience along with Excel and good communication skills. What you'll get in return This is a hybrid role: 2 days in the office in Redhill, 3 remote on a temporary basis for 12 months.
