Multi-Skilled Plumber
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000
Location: University of the West of England (Bristol)
Permanent 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
About the Role
Build Recruitment are currently working with a client to recruit a Multi-Skilled Plumber to join their established Facilities Management team on the University of the West of England contract.

What You’ll Be Doing
1. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems
2. Working on hot and cold water systems (HWS & CWS), heating systems, radiators, valves, toilets, and showers
3. Completing remedial repairs and minor building fabric works where required
4. Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues using your own initiative
5. Sourcing parts and liaising with suppliers or manufacturers when needed
6. Accurately recording all works using PDAs or electronic systems
7. Working closely with the helpdesk and wider FM team to ensure efficient service delivery
8. Ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales and to a high standard
9. Adhering strictly to Health & Safety procedures, including point-of-work risk assessments
10. Participating in an out-of-hours rota
What We’re Looking For
11. NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Plumbing
12. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a building maintenance or FM environment
13. Strong experience with planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance
14. CSCS or ECS card
15. Full UK driving licence
16. Comfortable using PDAs or mobile systems for job management
17. A proactive, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail
18. Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
