Imagine has pivoted to become a Sports Agency focusing on Girls Football.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to lead a new girls U13 team in West London for Phoenix AFC
The team will only play in the JPL but we look to develop camps for half term, so hours will increase.
Ideally, we're ideally looking for Level 2 coaches but we're open to bringing level 1 too based on club fit.
The role will involve developing skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a love for the game. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching or teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate players of all ages and skill levels. This role is essential in shaping not only the athletic abilities of our players but also their character and sportsmanship.
Duties
* Develop and implement training programmes that enhance players' skills, fitness, and understanding of the game.
* Conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring that drills are engaging and tailored to the needs of the team.
* Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
* Foster a positive team environment that encourages cooperation, respect, and sportsmanship among players.
* Organise and lead competitive matches, ensuring that all players have the opportunity to participate.
* Collaborate with other coaching staff and school officials to promote the football programme within the community.
* Monitor player progress and maintain records of performance for evaluation purposes.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols during training sessions and matches.
Qualifications
* Level 2 ideally, but consider level 1 based on club fit
* Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in football at various levels.
* Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
* A deep understanding of football strategies, techniques, and rules of play.
* Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining discipline within the team.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in planning practices and matches.
* First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required.
