We have a service receptionist role in our supported housing service in Stockwell. The role builds on customer care, health and safety, providing full reception and general administration services so that visitors, staff and customers receive prompt and responsive attention.
Our Stockwell location- a young person's service which is made up of three sites supporting young mothers and babies in Croydon and Stockwell, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking young men. We are conveniently located a 10-minute walk from Stockwell tube station offering excellent transport links across London and beyond. Parking is available on site for colleagues.
Our customers come with a range of support needs, such as those associated with pregnancy and birth, mental health, care leaver status, probation, ex-offending, domestic violence, learning disabilities and asylum seeking.
You will join a lively, supportive, and friendly team to work together to provide an excellent service for our young people.
Acting as a central point of contact and taking responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of reception and general administration
Acting as the first point of contact for customers and guests to the service dealing with a wide range of queries, both face to face and by phone, including those from external agencies and customers; providing clear and concise information and sign posting people to the correct service or department, or other homelessness agencies or services, where appropriate.
The key part of your role will include:
1. Welcoming all visitors to the office, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate staff member and department, in an efficient and professional manner
2. Maintaining up to date records and information of customers using IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook and other applications
3. Taking responsibility for all post including opening, date stamping and distributing all incoming mail
4. Booking in and out guests
This is a part time role that requires you to be available to work on Tuesday and Friday 9am to 5pm
