To lead engaging, safe, and inclusive after-school activities for primary-aged children, promoting physical activity, creativity, teamwork, and personal development in line with the values of Believe and Achieve Sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality sessions including sports, games, arts & crafts, and enrichment activities.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and school staff.
Manage behaviour positively and inclusively, promoting fair play and teamwork.
Set up and pack down equipment and resources efficiently.
Maintain accurate registers and incident records.
Support children with additional needs where required.
Represent the organisation professionally and uphold its values.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Experience working with children aged 4–11 in a school, club, or childcare setting.
Confident leading groups and managing behaviour.
Passionate about child development and inclusive play.
Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
Desirable: Sports coaching, playwork, or childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 2+). Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice. Experience in planning themed activities or enrichment programmes.
