The Role

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship‑focused School Liaison Officer (maternity cover) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will help raise aspirations, strengthen partnerships with schools and colleges, and support our student recruitment goals across Further Education and Higher Education. You’ll represent B&FC at a range of events, deliver engaging activities for young people, and act as a trusted ambassador for the College’s full portfolio of opportunities.


Your Responsibilities Will Include

As a School Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for:

* Building and managing strong relationships with target secondary schools, sixth forms, colleges, careers leads, parents, and local agencies acting as the key B&FC contact for your allocated institutions.
* Aligning activities with the National Careers agenda, supporting young people to make informed decisions about their future pathways.
* Coordinating key events, including annual Year 10 Taster Days and bespoke school engagement activities across curriculum areas.
* Evaluating and reporting on the success of liaison work, ensuring continuous improvement and a consistently high‑quality service.
