Architectural Technician - Residential

Role Overview:
The company is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills, experience working on residential schemes, and the ability to produce detailed construction drawings in AutoCAD.
This position offers flexibility — while the team is based in Hertfordshire and would welcome someone who can work from the office, the company is also open to candidates who prefer to work fully remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed technical drawings and construction packages in AutoCAD
* Support architects and designers in developing residential projects from planning through to completion
* Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities
* Prepare and coordinate technical information for tender and construction
* Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations and standards
* Manage and update drawing packages efficiently and accurately
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as an Architectural Technician or Technologist
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
* Experience working on residential projects (new builds, extensions, refurbishments)
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Strong communication and coordination skills
Desirable:
* Experience with planning applications and building control submissions
* Knowledge of other software (e.g. SketchUp or Revit) is beneficial but not essential
