Overview
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team based in our Oxford office. Our Oxford office provides a local presence on our projects and supports our expertise across sectors such as Science and Research and Healthcare. We deliver high performing buildings which respond to the challenges of climate change whilst creating spaces which meet the needs of modern living. As a Principal or Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality service for clients and developing repeat and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors.
* Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
* Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery. This is a client-facing role, so you will be attending project meetings and translating the brief within the project team.
* Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
* Mentor and support our next-gen professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
* Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
* Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design-oriented / consultant role.
* Self-awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
* Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
