Gi Group is on the lookout for an experienced Production Manager to lead and inspire a skilled team across our CNC Workshop, Assembly, and Finishing departments. As Production Manager, you will manage a team of 8 professionals, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for precision engineering, and excels in leadership.
Location:Stockport
Salary: Up to £56k per Annum
Contract: Full time, 40hrs per week on a permanent basis
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead daily operations across CNC Workshop, Assembly, and Finishing departments to ensure smooth, efficient production.
2. Plan and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
3. Optimise manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
4. Troubleshoot production issues, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
5. Develop and refine procedures that align with best practices and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering, with expertise in CNC (5-axis milling, CNC lathes, manual lathes).
Skills:
Leadership, production planning, problem-solving, and knowledge of lean manufacturing. Familiarity with EDGECAM and CAD/CAM is a plus.
Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
