Role: Design Assistant - Printed Textiles
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term - 12 months
Location: Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1QJ
Working Arrangements: Hybrid Working (3 days per week office based)

Role Summary:
Support in designing a commercial range of prints aligned with the brand's design direction and strategy.
Responsibilities:
* Research season trends through competitor visits and gather relevant information.
* Assist in creating concept boards for presentations.
* Understand and contribute to the department's product strategy by providing competitor and product insights.
* Assist in producing artworks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Monitor print strike-off trackers and coordinate strike-offs for meetings.
* Prepare boards and information for meetings.
* Manage strike-offs and archive artworks appropriately.
* Provide feedback on current trends and suggest new print ideas.
* Maintain department filing and perform administrative tasks.
* Develop personal skills through store and competitor visits and broader company activities.
* Support the wider design team as needed.
* Align with the company's social and environmental missions and contribute positively.
Skills and Experience:
* Drawing and painting skills.
* Some experience in the design process.
* Good communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt to change.
* Teamwork capabilities.
Role Competencies:
* Degree or equivalent in textile design.
* Understanding of the print design process.
* Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Knowledge of customer profiles, competitors, and product offerings.
* Basic understanding of design practices and terminology.
* Passion for trends and products.
* Affinity with the FatFace brand.
