Overview
We’re looking for someone who can guide and nurture our teams at our Crawley production site with care and purpose, as you’ll collaborate with others to ensure top-tier operations, ensure all activities run efficiently, safely, and to our customers needs - bringing out the best in both people and equipment. You’ll oversee the daily cylinder filling and handling operations to ensure our site operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably, build positive partnerships, ensure objectives are achieved and lead a forward thinking and dedicated team. You will champion safety & quality by inspiring high standards in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) leadership, lead safety committees and audits ensuring compliance with regulations and embedding best practices. Lead with vision as you'll oversee daily production and maintenance, managing resources and budgets to achieve targets while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. You will inspire and empower a production team by supporting and developing them to thrive, ensuring they’re equipped, empowered, and skilled to succeed. Furthermore, you will innovate and improve as you champion continuous improvements, optimise processes and drive productivity. Safeguard the site by taking ownership of it's infrastructure, security, assets, and emergency systems, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
Responsibilities

* Champion safety & quality by inspiring high standards in SHEQ leadership; lead safety committees and audits; ensure regulatory compliance and embed best practices.
* Lead with vision by overseeing daily production and maintenance; manage resources and budgets to achieve targets while upholding safety and compliance.
* Inspire and empower a production team by supporting development, ensuring team members are equipped, empowered and skilled to succeed.
* Drive continuous improvement; optimise processes and drive productivity.
* Safeguard site infrastructure, security, assets and emergency systems, ensuring seamless operations.
Qualifications
* You have a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent experience; other pathways with strong on-the-job experience in a similar role are considered.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships.
* Highly safety conscious; strong working knowledge of Health and Safety practices and ISO standards to ensure safety, consistency and compliance.
* Leadership that inspires teams, fosters collaboration, supports development, and delivers results.
* Problem-solving aptitude; proactive with thoughtful decision-making under pressure.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate is a plus; we will support attainment.
