Job Title: Bottling Operative – Temporary Assignment Location: Outskirts of Hailsham, East Sussex Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour Dates: Monday 7th July 2025 – Friday 18th July 2025 Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Duration: 2 weeks Positions Available: 5 Temporary Roles About the Role: We are seeking 5 reliable, physically fit Bottling Operatives to join a prestigious and picturesque vineyard near Hailsham for a 2-week bottling project. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will help load, bottle, and package wine ready for storage and distribution. This is hard, fast-paced physical work in an outdoor setting – ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working as part of a team, and isn’t afraid of a bit of dirt and sweat! ️ Key Responsibilities: Load empty bottles onto the bottling line and pack finished bottles into cages for storage Operate bottling machinery under supervision, following instructions carefully Ensure accurate filling, sealing, and labelling of wine bottles Monitor product quality and maintain cleanliness of the working area Adhere to all hygiene, health & safety, and handling procedures Work cooperatively as part of a 5-person team to maintain efficiency and productivity ✅ Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous bottling or manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential) Ability to follow instructions and operate machinery safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Physical stamina – able to lift, carry, and stand for long periods Team player attitude with clear communication and reliability Willingness to work outdoors in all weather (under cover provided) ⚠️ Important Notes: Full 2-week availability is essential – the work is time-sensitive and relies on all 5 team members showing up daily Reliability and punctuality are critical – delays or absences will impact the flow and balance of the entire team The work is conducted outdoors under shelter, so you must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions Breaks include: ▪️ Morning: 15 mins ▪️ Lunch: 30 mins ▪️ Afternoon: 15 mins (exact times may vary based on bottling progress) Interested?
