This is a Modern Apprenticeship role for age 16 - 24 years or 16 - 29 years for disabled or care experienced applicants.
We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for digital tools, organisation, and improving how services are delivered. You’ll be hands-on with exciting projects, gain experience in business admin, digital systems, and project management—and get paid while doing it.
The Modern Apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to work in the Strategy and Transformation Team at NHS Highland. The team focuses on developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes across the region and the role is to assist in the provision of a range of administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have good written and verbal communication skills
2. Have good keyboard skills, and be confident using IT systems
3. Be a team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
4. Have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
5. Have a good attention to detail
6. Be flexible, reliable, and self-motivated
The successful candidate will:

You will be supported throughout your programme of study by a tutor and workplace mentor.
Location and Working Pattern
Assynt House, Inverness
Hybrid working
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Fixed Term for 1 year
The post is graded as Band 3. If appointed, you will be paid in accordance with Annex 21, which means a percentage of the fully qualified rate is applied during the period of training at 75% of the pay band maximum (uplifted to the Scottish Living Wage) per annum.
