Health and Safety Advisor – Manufacturing

Main Responsibilities
* Ensuring that effective risk assessments are in place for all the site's activities, including SOPRA, COSHH, Manual Handling, Noise, DSE, and other statutory requirements
* Ensuring Group systems for reporting and responding to accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses are implemented
* Implementing testing arrangements for emergency response and fire systems
* Maintaining relevant KPIs and information on Health and Safety matters
* Providing health & safety training and inductions welcomed safely into the business
* Liaising with internal management providing advice and guidance
* Carrying out internal audits and inspections
* Ensuring the contractor management process is adhered to
* Working closely with and becoming a valued member of the Legal & Safety Team
Essential Experience and Skills
* Experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management principles, especially for factory operations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and coach colleagues at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to problem‑solving.
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team; able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Competent in writing clear reports and maintaining accurate health and safety documentation.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health & safety qualification is desirable.
* IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
