This role offers the opportunity to join a premium producer within the fast-developing English wine market. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hospitality Shift Manager to join our team.
This role is integral in ensuring our guests enjoy a warm welcome and a consistently high-quality experience from arrival to departure, while also supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our hospitality team. It's ideal for someone with hospitality experience who is passionate about customer service, enjoys working on the floor, and takes pride in supporting and developing a team.

Hours of work: hours per week
Predominantly Thursday to Sunday, with hospitality admin support on Wednesdays (annualised hours may be considered)

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a passionate, organised, and hands-on Hospitality Shift Manager to support the delivery of our hospitality service. You will work closely with the Assistant Hospitality Manager to ensure everything runs smoothly on the floor, assist with team supervision and training, and help maintain excellent service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Front of House & Guest Experience: Support the delivery of hospitality service, ensuring guest areas are well presented and customer service is welcoming, attentive, and consistent. Assist with the setup, organisation, and smooth running of daily service.
* Team Support & Supervision: Assist in supervising the hospitality team during shifts, providing guidance, encouragement, and on-the-job support. Help with seasonal staff onboarding, rota organisation, and effective team communication.
* Service Standards & Training: Support the training of team members to maintain and uphold service standards. Help gather and share guest feedback to improve the service experience.
* Operational Support: Assist with hospitality-related administration, stock control, and smooth coordination between front of house, kitchen, and other departments.
* Technology & Systems: Help maintain the use of hospitality systems such as POS and booking platforms to ensure efficient service.
* Housekeeping: Help ensure guest areas and shared spaces are kept clean, organised, and welcoming.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Support the team in following health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards and licensing requirements.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the wider Artelium team to ensure hospitality operations integrate smoothly with the rest of the business.
* Budget & Financial Management: Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and conducting weekly financial close. Share responsibility for revenue, costs, and stock management.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospitality supervisory or team leader role, preferably in a high-end or boutique setting.
* WSET Level 2 or 3 preferred; an understanding and appreciation of English wines is highly advantageous.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with both guests and team members.
* Organised and adaptable, with the ability to work well in a busy service environment.
* Familiarity with POS systems, booking platforms, and basic IT skills.
