Job Detail:
Everest is building a dynamic Energy and Construction team to provide market leading capacity and service across Underwriting, Claims and Risk Engineering. We support clients through the energy transition providing cover for assets across the Oil and Gas, Power and Renewable Energy sectors.
We are seeking an experienced and technical Senior Underwriter to join our Renewable Energy class, working as an integral part of our team alongside our experienced Underwriters and Risk Engineers, based in London.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for the industry, as it goes through a period of intense development and technological change. We seek an ambitious individual who will help the team on its journey to be a leader in Renewable Energy.
Requirements:
1. Renewable Energy Underwriting or Broking experience in the International marketplace aligning to that of a Senior Underwriter.
2. Ability to stay organised in a fast paced and high intensity work environment with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
3. Working collaboratively in a team environment and experience working with a diverse teams across multiple offices.
4. Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally.
5. Maintains and develops market knowledge including competitor profiles and products.
6. Willing to take initiative, function independently and be entrepreneurial with the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
7. Risk taking – ability to develop a sound underwriting view to take calculated risks with favorable outcomes.
8. Excellent negotiation skills.
9. Strategic skills - ability to determine opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends. Comprehends the big picture.
10. Analytical Skills - visualise, gather information, articulate, analyse and solve complex problems in order to make key business decisions.
