Role Overview:
As an Access Planner, you will actively ensure high standards are attained and continuously improved to assist in the planning of rail projects through identifying and securing the required possessions and work site access.
This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of coordinating rail possessions and work site access. You will work closely with experienced planners to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant rail projects while gaining hands-on industry experience.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Support senior planners in creating and reviewing access plans, ensuring alignment with safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
2. Assist in booking and confirming possession resources (e.g., equipment, personnel) under guidance, adhering to project timelines.
3. Maintain accurate records of possession arrangements and resource allocations using designated planning systems.
4. Learn to verify that resources hold valid qualifications/licenses, with mentorship from the team.
5. Liaise with internal departments (e.g., isolation teams, safety officers) to gather information and secure approvals.
6. Develop problem-solving skills by addressing minor logistical challenges under supervision.
