This is a busy manufacturing site. Heavy kit. High output. Solid investment in engineering. Theyre after someone who knows mechanical engineering inside-out, ideally someone whos worked in a large-scale production or industrial setting. If youve worked in fast-paced or heavy engineering before, youll probably hit the ground running here. Its not an office job- this is plant-focused. Youll be working with teams on the floor, contractors, and project managers, not stuck behind a screen all day. What youll be doing: Getting stuck into root cause investigations and planned shutdowns Reviewing and improving reliability across critical assets Writing up proper engineering specs (not just copying last years) Mentoring techs and working closely with maintenance teams Managing budgets and contractors without letting the wheels come off Using tools like MS Project and Oracle to plan installs and track spend What theyre looking for: Someone who knows mechanical systems inside and out Youll need to be comfortable around hydraulic systems You dont need to be a manager, but leadership experience helps Self-motivated, detail-focused, and not scared of big projects Its a proper engineering role on a site that actually wants to invest in doing things better- not just patching things up to keep the lights on.
