GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Doncaster. The Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
* Assist in adapting lesson materials and classroom activities to meet individual needs.
* Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
* Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and support teams.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe learning environment.
Requirements of SEN TA:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
* Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
