Overview
Head of Resourcing at Witherslack Group. A strategic leadership role responsible for the end-to-end recruitment strategy to support education, residential care, and support services. You will ensure a sustainable pipeline of high-quality talent, maintain safer recruitment and safeguarding practices, forecast staffing needs with senior leaders, shape employer branding, and cultivate a values-led, inclusive recruitment culture that supports outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Location: North West – hybrid role with office days on site in Lupton and occasional travel across UK sites. Salary: Competitive + car + long-term incentive bonus + BUPA.

Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end recruitment strategy and operations across all functions, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence.
* Oversee a high-performing resourcing team and drive innovation through digital transformation and data-led improvements.
* Develop and implement workforce planning, talent pipeline development, and proactive sourcing strategies.
* Shape employer brand, EVP development, internal mobility, and diversity hiring initiatives.
* Collaborate with senior leaders to forecast staffing needs and create a values-led, inclusive recruitment culture that supports outcomes for children and young people.
Qualifications
* Leadership experience: Proven track record of leading recruitment or resourcing functions, ideally within education, healthcare, or social care settings.
* Safeguarding expertise: Strong understanding of safer recruitment practices and safeguarding legislation.
* Strategic and operational capability: Able to think strategically while effectively managing day-to-day recruitment operations.
* Stakeholder engagement: Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation.
* Workforce planning: Experience in workforce planning, talent pipeline development, and proactive sourcing strategies.
