The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Service Manager with a strong commercial gas engineering background to join our growing team. This role is a blend of office-based leadership and occasional site visits, where you will play a key part in maintaining client relationships and ensuring smooth project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and coordinating engineer workloads, materials and plant/equipment for efficient project completion
* Supporting, motivating, and managing the engineering team to deliver high standards of work
* Generating client quotes, scopes of work, and managing commercial enquiries
* Building strong B2B relationships with clients, providing a professional and responsive service
* Booking jobs, scheduling engineers, and overseeing project delivery from start to finish
* Maintaining organised records and reporting, with strong use of IT systems
The Person
We are looking for someone with:
* A Commercial Gas Engineering background is essential
* Proven experience managing or leading teams
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent interpersonal and client relationship-building abilities
* Ability to prepare accurate quotes and scopes of works
* Competency with IT systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Must be commutable to our office in Tameside, Manchester
