Where will you be working?
MEICA and capital maintenance - Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
The position will initially be offered as a fixed-term contract for a duration of 2 months.
What will you be doing?
* Carrying out mechanical maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks on plant equipment.
* Supporting isolation and decommissioning of mechanical systems in line with site safety procedures and GMP requirements.
* Diagnosing mechanical faults and undertaking corrective actions to ensure reliable plant restart post-shutdown.
* Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to coordinate shutdown work and meet project deadlines.
* Accurately completing maintenance records, job sheets, and handover documentation to support traceability and compliance.
What’s essential?
* A recognised Mechanical Engineering Qualification, e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent apprenticeship in mechanical maintenance or engineering.
* Experience in a regulated industry, ideally pharmaceutical, biotech, or other GMP environments, with an understanding of cleanroom protocols and documentation practices.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues with pumps, valves, pipework, and rotating equipment efficiently.
* Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and P&IDs, with confidence in following technical documentation to support shutdown tasks.
* Commitment to health & safety and compliance, with a proven ability to work safely in high-risk environments, following permit systems, LOTO procedures, and adhering to GMP standards.
