Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their growing team in Horley. This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, reliable & confident in planning & managing daily transport operations.What’s in it for you?
* Monday to Friday with flexible shift times | 6am-3pm, 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm
* £26,000 - £31,000pa DOE
* 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown
* Overtime available every other Saturday, paid at enhanced rates
* Free onsite parking
* Company Pension (contributory scheme)
The Role:This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping things running smoothly & efficiently day-to-day.Key duties include:
* Planning daily transport routes efficiently, to ensure the best use of time & resources
* Working closely with engineers/drivers & internal teams to make sue schedules run to plan
* Ensure compliance with driver hours & PL01 records are updated and filed
* Dealing with any issues or delays as they arise & adjusting plans where needed
* Building & maintaining good working relationships with both suppliers, customers
The Person:
* Experienced in planning & optimising transport routes
* Confident communicator who works well with others & can handle a busy environment
* Well-organised with a good eye for detail and the ability to juggle tasks
* A good understanding of transport rules and regulations
