From our home in central Manchester's Bond building — a Grade II listed space redesigned for collaboration — our teams of strategists, writers, creatives and account handlers work side by side to deliver work that makes a big impact for our clients in scientific industries and inspires audiences.
As an Account Director, you will
:
* Build strong client relationships, understanding their business strategy and shaping the marketing and communications support they need
* Take ownership of client deliverables, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality
* Work closely with other Account Directors to drive account growth by identifying and securing new opportunities across existing and new clients
* Lead and mentor your team of content writers, strategists and account managers in collaboration with their team managers
* Proactively look for opportunities to drive efficiency and quality through better collaboration from within your team and in the wider agency
* Contribute to agency new business through RFP responses and pitches
From an Account Director we expect
:
* A strong and demonstrable track record of project management and account management, including working with major clients in a B2B setting
* Previous ownership of client relationships, including the financial management of clients and the strategic growth of client partnerships
* A passion for science, shown either through previous work in a relevant scientific sector or through a keen interest in current research and innovation
* Experience managing a delivery team through planning and executing on their deliveries, and ensuring a team culture of high integrity and collaboration
* Commercial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting and profitability management
* A desire to transform and grow both yourself and your team through a proactive mindset that looks for team-based and collaborative solutions to challenges
