Job Overview
* Protect customer’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
* Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the key performance indicators / service level agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
* Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
Operations
* Familiar and knowledgeable of the site Job Descriptions Front of House.
* Proactively observe the reception area for opportunities to assist with colleagues and guests.
* Fully conversant with all standard operating and emergency procedures, ensuring an appropriate and professional response to any situation that arises.
* Proactively monitor building demise, recognising behaviour of others, and report any unusual activity immediately.
* Develop and promote exemplary colleague relations to identify and elevate any security issues or improvements.
* Accurately report and record incidents or risks in a succinct and professional manner.
* Tactically manage any incident and give confidence to others that the situation is being dealt with effectively and efficiently.
* Liaise with clients and customers in a polite and professional manner.
* Provide a visible presence to deter unsavory behaviour.
* Reassure the client that their employees and facilities are safe.
* Maintain the highest standards of security whilst maintaining professionalism.
* Pinpoint suspicious behaviour and take remedial non‑confrontational action.
* Takes responsibility for the security of the building entrances.
Team
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary shift paperwork for submission as necessary.
* Set professional standards of conduct and report any inappropriate behaviour.
* Proactively monitor the Lloyd’s building and surround, reporting any unusual activity.
* Ensure completion of all mandatory online training.
* Effectively manage tasks within the agreed deadlines, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
Training
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
* Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Look out for and immediately report any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
* Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative, immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
* Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

* SIA License.

* Computer literate, with high attention to detail – highly desirable.
