SEMH Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Bradford (BD4)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £88–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Some pupils just need someone who won’t give up on them.
We’re looking for a resilient, calm and genuinely caring Behaviour TA to support pupils with SEMH needs in a primary school in BD4. This isn’t a sit-back-and-observe role. It’s hands-on, relationship-led and properly meaningful.
You’ll be working with children who need structure, consistency and someone who sees past the behaviour and understands the why behind it.
What your days will look like:
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Helping manage behaviour in a calm, steady way
• Building trust, routines and positive relationships
• Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher
The school is supportive, experienced with SEMH, and values its support staff. You won’t be left to figure things out alone.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience with behaviour or SEMH, school or alternative provision
• Stays calm under pressure
• Is firm, fair and full of patience
• Understands that progress isn’t always linear
If you’ve got a background in youth work, support work or behaviour mentoring, this could be a brilliant fit.
