2026 Graduate PMO Analyst, Strategic Infrastructure

About The Role Strategic Infrastructure delivers major strategic UK electricity transmission projects focused on connecting more clean, low‑carbon power to England and Wales. As part of National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), you will support the Programme Management Office (PMO) Team, tracking status of programme deliverables and milestones, project lifecycle and deliverables, key project risks and issues. You will assist the PMO Manager with defining and updating project management processes, standards and governance, and provide additional project support to key business objectives.

Programme Management Office Analyst Responsibilities

* Support projects/programmes in New Infrastructure using PMO tools such as planning, cost, portfolio reporting, risk, change, governance, process & systems support.
* Support PMO’s across New Infrastructure with cross‑department business priorities that require further analysis.
* Continuously review and improve processes by raising innovative solutions to drive value and establish best practice.
* Support career development through practical experience of schedule management, change management, risk management and business analysis.

Graduate Programme As you’ll be joining our 18‑month graduate programme, you’ll have a tailored development pathway to support you as you develop a wide range of leadership, business, and technical skills. You’ll attend in‑person and virtual development sessions throughout your programme. All graduates complete the core development programme to develop key skills such as impact, feedback and presentation skills. Aligned to our IT & Digital pathway you’ll develop your IT technical skills including AGILE and Scrum, and gain important insights in engineering and electricity to broaden your understanding of our business and industry.

What you'll need to apply You must achieve, or be working towards, a minimum 2:2 in an Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Maths, Computer Science, Business Management/Project Management degree. You need a full valid UK driving license or have completed your theory test and booked the practical test at the time of assessment. You’ll need to be able to travel occasionally within the role and throughout your graduate development programme rotations.

Location Office base statement: This role is based in Central Birmingham and may offer hybrid working, where possible.

What you'll Get In Return We are proud to offer a graduate starting salary of £36,640.
