Data Management Engineer
Location: Filton (60% onsite)
Contract: Umbrella / PAYE
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week | Flexible working between 7am-7pm (over 4.5 days)
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus)

About the role
Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to recruit a Data Management Engineer to support key data management activities within the Landing Gear (LG) domain. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑impact data improvement and governance initiatives within a complex, large‑scale engineering environment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring data is well‑controlled, accessible, and fit for purpose-supporting both operational excellence and long‑term data governance.
This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and making tangible improvements to how data is managed and used.
What youll be doing
* Supporting data management implementation within the Landing Gear domain, including network‑attached data containment
* Contributing to data improvement initiatives, such as enhancing site pages, documentation, and data structures
* Ensuring effective control, governance, and management of data produced across LG operational areas
* Supporting the preparation of data governance guidelines and related communication materials
* Working with multiple stakeholders, providing support and guidance where required
* Applying a proactive and flexible approach to managing tasks and priorities autonomously
What were looking for
Essential skills and experience:
* Strong experience using Windows command line and scripting (autonomous level)
* Basic data analytics and reporting capability
* Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
* Ability to work independently with an agile and flexible approach
* Solid general IT skills with a willingness to support others
Desirable (but not essential)
* Knowledge of data management processes
* Business data modelling skills
* Python programming experience
* Experience with Google Workspace and Google Sites management
