Your new role Provide strategic and operational leadership within the finance function, cultivating a high performing, collaborative team culture. Lead month end close across the group, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. Oversee the development and maintenance of financial processes, controls, policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement, including enhancement of financial systems, automation, and best practice processes. Lead on annual external audits and ensure the timely production of statutory financial statements for all group entities. Oversee balance sheet integrity, including monthly reconciliations and reporting on reserves and key KPIs. Manage cash flow and support forecasting over multiple time horizons. Ensure compliance with all tax, VAT and regulatory reporting requirements. Provide financial control support to operational teams, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Act as deputy for the Director of Finance when required, including attendance at Board or Committee meetings. What you'll need to succeed Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA or equivalent). 3+ years' post-qualification experience with strong technical accounting skills. Experience leading and developing finance teams. Solid background in financial control and day-to-day finance operations. Proven ability to improve financial systems, processes and controls. Experience producing statutory accounts and supporting external audits. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. What you'll get in return Death in service of 3 x annual salary.
