We currently have an exciting opportunity for Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Pear Tree High School.
This is a permanent, full-time leadership role starting September 2025, with a salary on the Leadership Scale, points L10-14, ranging from £62,202 to £68,586.
We’re looking for:
* A committed and experienced educational professional to work with the Headteacher, governors, trustees, and the wider school community to establish, develop, and sustain the school’s ethos and strategic direction.
* This Deputy Headteacher role will include a small teaching commitment and focus on driving forward our School Improvement Plan, especially regarding Post-16 provision and other strategic areas.
* The successful candidate will have a proven record of improving outcomes for all students, particularly disadvantaged, vulnerable students, and those with SEND.
* This role requires a strong understanding of strategies to effectively deliver the school curriculum and develop effective Teaching, Learning, and Assessment practices.
Main purpose of the job:
To provide excellent leadership and management to embed the vision and values of the Trust and secure the highest outcomes for students.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing aspects of the school under the Headteacher’s overall direction, including taking responsibility in their absence.
* Promoting a shared vision that inspires and motivates the school community for a positive and enriching school experience.
* Ensuring the school is a safe, orderly, inclusive environment that supports effective engagement and learning.
* Establishing and maintaining high-quality teaching across all subjects, informed by national research and evidence-based practices.
* Managing and deploying staff effectively to maximize achievement while considering workload and work-life balance.
