The Role
* Individualised Support: Provide 1:1 assistance to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), focusing on ASD, ADHD, or physical disabilities.
* Social Integration: Help students develop social skills and confidence during break times and group activities.
* Academic Scaffolding: Work under the guidance of the SENCO to simplify instructions and support students with literacy and numeracy.
* Positive Reinforcement: Implement behaviour management strategies that focus on rewarding progress and building resilience.
The Requirements
* Compassion: A genuine desire to support the emotional and academic growth of young people.
* Resilience: The ability to remain patient and calm when supporting students who may find the school day challenging.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to liaise with teachers and provide feedback on student progress.
* DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to process a new one).
* Transport: As Great Oakley is a rural village, having your own transport is highly beneficial for the commute.
