This role is integral to managing and supervising marine projects, ensuring compliance with high standards and efficient completion of tasks. The suitable candidate must have a background of working in the Portsmouth Dockyard and experience of working on Royal Navy vessels. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and monitor employees' work, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and technical requirements in shiprepair, fabrication, mechanical fitting, and pipefitting works. Quote, plan, and manage shiprepair, marine, fabrication, and mechanical/pipefitting projects while controlling costs and achieving deliverables. Ensure staff compliance with company policies, including timekeeping, conduct, and technical training. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshops, stores, vessels, vehicles, and on-site locations. Support management in scheduling maintenance and repairs of company machinery, pipework systems, and shiprepair equipment. Work independently to plan and prioritise workload within set timescales. Ensure compliance with internal and external emergency arrangements and enforce the correct use of required PPE. Assist in tracking and controlling tools and equipment to prevent loss or theft, reporting any incidents promptly.
