THE ROLE
A Sports Liability Solicitor with EL/PL experience is required to join the Casualty team which provides a full and expert defendant litigation service, acting across both the public and private sectors on a wide range of public liability (PL) and employers' liability (EL) claims.
A Solicitor or CILEX qualified Lawyer with 2-4pqe you will assist Partners and Principal Associates in the defence of a wide range of claims, often high value and high profile, on behalf of sports' governing bodies, competitors, sports clubs, and their insurers.
Tasks will include assisting with significant disclosure and document reviews including e-Discovery, preparing witness statements, undertaking legal and factual research, drafting instructions to Counsel and experts, preparing reports to clients, preparing for and attending court hearings, attending client meetings and responding promptly and accurately to correspondence and telephone enquiries from clients and other parties.
ABOUT YOU
You will have previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in this area of work.
You will also require inter alia:
* A proven track record of managing EL/PL personal injury claims, with a demonstrable understanding of the law relating to negligence and health and safety;
* Experience of managing sports claims is desirable;
* A genuine interest in sport and sports related claims;
* In depth knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules;
* Experience in undertaking disclosure exercises and document reviews;
