Overview
Electronics Assembler at AMETEK, Sunbury-On-Thames, England, United Kingdom. The role involves assembling electrical and electro-mechanical components to drawings and SOPs, testing and inspecting finished products, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
* Mechanical assembly work to drawings and/or CMMs.
* Electro/mechanical work, such as fans, motors and/or heaters to drawings and/or CMMs.
* Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment (e.g., torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, verniers).
* Assemble and test electronic components and systems according to specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and function properly.
* Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot issues.
* Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures and complete relevant documentation.
* Provide information or assistance to customers, suppliers, and visitors from other company sites; communicate effectively at all levels.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities affecting quality or output.
* Use PPE where provided and perform activities to meet manufacturing targets in a timely manner.
* Take on ad hoc duties, including training colleagues and supporting other departments as needed.
Non-essential/Additional Responsibilities
* Undertake role-required training and other reasonable requests from management.
* Provide flexible support during periods of reduced staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
* Ability to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs; work from SOPs in tandem with drawings.
* English reading and writing proficiency.
* Experience in electronic assembly; familiarity with electronic components and assembly tooling.
* Soldering skills on small components; experience assembling small components (e.g., model kits).
* Attention to detail; methodical and logical approach; good time management.
* Ability to work in a team; effective communication at all levels; self-motivated and professional.
* Ability to handle pressure and basic IT skills.
