Duties as Animal Care Lecturer
* Deliver engaging lessons in animal care across a range of levels
* Plan and prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum requirements
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
* Maintain accurate records of achievement and attendance
* Support learners with practical skills development in animal handling and welfare
* Contribute to departmental meetings and curriculum development
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all practical activities
Ideal Animal Care Lecturer
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Care or related subject
* Experience teaching or working within an educational setting
* Strong knowledge of animal welfare, husbandry, and related practices
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying abilities
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
