We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources. We have an opportunity at our Glasgow ERF for an Assistant Operation Manager to join our team working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary for this role will be circa £65,000 per year and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits. The closing date for applications is 9th May 2024. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will provide operational leadership support and manage day to day activities in your designated area. Working in conjunction with the site leadership team comprising of the Plant Manager, EHS Manager and the Engineering Manager, you will drive safety, compliance, staff engagement and best in class performance. You will directly manage, the day to day operation of the MRF, AD and ACF’s activities, ensuring that all Health and Safety, Environmental, Site Permit, Site Licence, Personnel and other legislation is adhered to. You will be responsible for Dayshift FRO’s (x5) and Indirect support of all Operational teams including MBT Supervisors, MBT Cleaners and MBT RO’s. Our ideal Assistant Operations Manager will have: Strong operational and commercial flair. Proven motivator with strong leadership skills. Extensive and proven knowledge of the waste/energy recovery industries. Educated to at least ONC/HNC/HND level, or equivalent, in a relevant technical discipline and/or a formal business qualification. Full UK driving licence.
