Health & Safety Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Assistant to support our project and site teams across a range of construction projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in health and safety within construction, working closely with our Health & Safety Manager to help maintain high standards of safety, compliance and best practice across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting the implementation and monitoring of health & safety procedures across our construction sites
2. Assisting with site inspections, audits and safety checks to ensure compliance with company policies and legislation
3. Helping to prepare and maintain RAMS, risk assessments and method statements
4. Assisting with accident, incident and near-miss reporting and investigations
5. Supporting toolbox talks, site inductions and safety briefings
6. Monitoring subcontractor compliance with health & safety requirements
7. Ensuring health & safety documentation is up to date and correctly filed
8. Assisting with the implementation of corrective actions following audits or inspections
9. Promoting a positive health & safety culture across our sites
