Everyone is different, but what stays the same is our commitment to offering high standards of care to all our residents, regardless of their care needs—enabling them to live their best lives. Our residents tell us how important our Care Workers are to them: being a friendly face, brightening their day, and helping to make life worth living by doing the simplest of things. Tasks can include:
1. Supporting with household and domestic tasks, such as laundry, shopping, cleaning, and financial transactions like paying bills.
2. Making meals, drinks, and snacks where necessary.
3. Encouraging and enabling residents to follow agreed care plans.
4. Assisting residents with getting up in the morning, providing personal care including washing/bathing and dressing; helping with undressing and going to bed in the evening, as well as ensuring medication is taken as required.
5. Putting resident wellbeing at the heart of the service, going the extra mile to ensure our residents can live their best lives, and keeping managers and key agencies informed of progress.
6. Being kind and friendly.
7. Having good written and verbal English communication skills.
8. Being committed to undertaking necessary further training.
9. Having a genuine desire to help people.
10. Being reliable and flexible.
11. Using your initiative.
12. Remaining calm under pressure.
