Job Role Overview
The general role will be that of managing the audit of Large Companies and heading up that team to ensure effective delivery of the audit procedures. You will also have responsibility for a portfolio of clients as their main point of contact as part of our Client Manager team.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the audit of the statutory financial statements of Large Companies and managing the delivery of the audits. Annual planning to schedule visits and ensure timely completion.
* Liaising with your allocated clients regularly, handling ad-hoc queries, and collating records to meet deadlines.
* Reviewing VAT returns prepared by the team and preparing VAT returns when necessary.
* Conducting brief reviews of clients' accounts before senior management review.
* Preparing accounts to draft stage for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Preparing management accounts as required.
* Visiting clients at their premises.
* Assisting other client managers with work planning.
* Training the next generation of accountants within the team.
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in:
* Client communication
* People management
* Liaising with senior management
* Teamwork
* Attention to detail
Additionally, the candidate must hold a full UK driving licence.
Skills and Qualifications
* Hardworking and professional attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Fully qualified member of a chartered professional body (ACCA, CA, CIMA, ICAEW) via examination route
Remuneration and Benefits
* Annual salary of £36,000 to £43,000 based on experience
* Company pension contributions of 3%

This is a busy role with direct client contact and monthly deadlines. The successful candidate should be able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment while managing client expectations.
