We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef Lecturer Hospitality and Catering to join our team at Stamford College. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your industry expertise with teaching, helping learners develop the professional skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to succeed in the hospitality and catering sector.
The Chef Lecturer role is full time (37 hours per week), all year round on a permanent contract.
You will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Level 1 to Level 3 Hospitality and Catering programmes, contributing to excellent learner experiences, strong achievement outcomes, and positive destinations. The role includes course delivery, assessment, learner support, and may also involve course coordination and internal verification or moderation duties.
Working closely with colleagues, employers, and industry partners, you will help shape engaging and relevant programmes, embed English, maths and digital skills into learning, and ensure health and safety standards are upheld across practical teaching environments.
We are looking for someone with experience of:
Working professionally as a Chef within the Hospitality and Catering industry
Teaching and/or training learners, ideally within a further education or training environment
Delivering and assessing Hospitality and Catering qualifications at Levels 1 to 3
Designing engaging schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials
Assessing learner work and providing constructive, timely feedback
Supporting learner progress, behaviour, retention and achievement
Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and review curriculum provision
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and food hygiene in practical settings
Liaising with employers and supporting work experience or industry engagement
Using IT and digital learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning
