Belonging to the O&M Contracts Department, UK and reporting to the Lead Contract Manager, you will assist in tendering, negotiating and (in some cases) managing offshore Service and Maintenance contracts. This role will include working closely with teams from the Operations, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to ensure contracts are procured and managed effectively.
Working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world, the role requires the individual to liaise with stakeholders from multi-disciplinary teams in different locations in UK and Europe.
What you'll be doing
* Support the development of cross Service and Maintenance Agreement (SMA) documentation trackers to standardise the management of SMA deliverables, improve visibility of actions and dependencies and ensure accurate record‑keeping, governance and stakeholder alignment.
* Ensure all variations and amendments to SMAs are properly administered, tracked, and incorporated into revised documentation in line with document control and revision management procedures.
* Support the Site and Technical teams by gathering and understanding project specific requirements, risks and concerns and preparing formal communication notes for transmittal to external suppliers.
* Support the Site and Technical teams to clearly define their requirements and prepare the documentation for tenders.
* Assist with the tendering and negotiation of contracts for contracts above the delegated purchases threshold.
* Identify and support potential suppliers to register with the IBR procurement portal, iBuy.
* Liaise with the OPEX team to raise POs in SAP, receipt and process invoices, provide budget forecasts for contracts under your management.
What you'll bring
* Degree and professional qualification in relevant discipline – Engineering, Contract Management, Legal background, Project Management, Construction Management, or commercially orientated qualification.
* Strong ability to manage own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, whilst producing high quality results in demanding timeframes.
* Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
* Experience in commercial and contractual aspects of engineering.
* Good understanding of Health and Safety Principles and the compliance of Site Operations (understanding of how multiple contractors can work within a single work control framework).
* IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word). Experience with SAP and/or iBuy will be beneficial.
* Flexibility to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in the UK.
