Estimator Location: Warrington (Full-Time Office Based) Sector: Main Contractor
Retail Fit Out Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE). The Company: Our client is a growing and well-established main contractor based in Warrington, delivering fast-paced retail fit out projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a high volume of incoming enquiries, the business continues to expand and works with several notable high street retail brands.
As part of their growth strategy, they are looking to appoint a dedicated Estimator to streamline and strengthen their pre‑construction function.
The Role: This is a newly created role due to business growth. Currently, the commercial team manages estimating from start to finish alongside their Quantity Surveying responsibilities. The company is now looking to introduce a specialist Estimator to create a more efficient, structured, and scalable pre‑construction process. The Estimator will report directly to the Managing QS and play a key role in pricing and securing new projects. This is a full‑time, office‑based position in Warrington.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Produce accurate take‑offs and build‑ups
- Issue and manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and level comparisons
- Assist in developing a more streamlined and structured estimating process
- Work closely with the commercial and operational teams during tender stage
- Support handover of secured projects to the delivery team Systems & Software
- Currently using Excel for estimating
- Open to implementing specialist estimating software (e.g. Conquest or CostX) depending on candidate experience and business needs

Candidate Requirements
Essential:- Experience as an Estimator within retail fit out or retail construction
- Strong understanding of fast‑track project environments
- Ability to price projects independently from enquiry through to submission
- Commercially aware with strong numerical and analytical skills
- Confident working in a growing business environment
Desirable:- Experience within high street retail fit out
- Background in general retail construction or Facilities Management (FM) considered
- Experience using estimating software such as Conquest or CostX
